An exquisitely colored fern for the garden. Mature fronds are a beautiful gray-green, frosted silver accented by delicate wine-red stems. Young fronds are lighter in color and contrast nicely with older fronds. A wonderful plant as a specimen. Deciduous with a weeping habit. One of many ferns suitable for a rock garden. Prefers consistently even moisture, but can tolerate long periods of drought once established. Can tolerate full sun with ample moisture. The color is more intense with partial sun, preferably morning sun or late evening sun, and performs best in part sun-shade.
